Parking Guide & Arriving to Salem

  • Parking Locations

    The only thing spookier than the ghosts is trying to find parking during busy season. Prep ahead! Some recs:

    * The Sewall Street Parking Lot located on 8 Sewall St, Salem MA It is only a 2 min walk away to our tour starting location.

    If that’s full other choices include

    *The MBTA station garage on 252 Bridge St,Salem Ma

    *The Museum Place Garage on 1 Church St, Salem Ma

    *The South Harbor Garage on 245 Derby St, Salem Ma. This garage is located 3 min away from our ending location)

    *Street parking is available. (However in October regulations are much stricter so you’re better off with a garage or lot!)

  • MBTA Commuter Rail

    A great option if you're coming from Boston! Take the train from North Station in Boston and hop on the Newburyport/Rockport line. It takes about 35 minutes to arrive at the Salem station You’re then a 2 min walk to Essex St (the heart of downtown) and 6 min walk from our tour starting location!

  • Ferry

    You may also consider taking the ferry from Boston to Salem. The harbor is located in 10 Blaney St, Salem, MA in Salem's maritime neighborhood that’s a a 20 minute walk from our meeting location in the heart of downtown.

  • Flying Saucer Pizza Company

    A great place for families, this serves on the go slice of the day and unique pizza combinations inspired by pop culture and sci-fi tropes. It’s a Salem classic! You can easily find this eatery right in front of the Bewitched Samantha statue on the intersection of Essex St + Washington St.
